Young Academics Network

The Young Academics Network (YAN) of the Leibniz ScienceCampus RECOMENT brings together early career researchers from all disciplines who share an interest in inter- and transdisciplinary approaches to resilience. Conceived as a self-organized platform, the network fosters scholarly dialogue, collegial exchange, and visibility within the wider research consortium. A key aim is to involve early-career researchers in RECOMENT’s interdisciplinary debates at an early stage and to provide them with opportunities to actively shape and contribute their own research topics, perspectives, and formats.

Activities

YAN Perspectives: Resilience across Disciplines

A core activity of the Young Academics Network (YAN) is a regular colloquium organized by early-career researchers, focusing on interdisciplinary dialogue on the concept of resilience. In YAN Perspectives: Resilience across Disciplines, we explore the origins and development of the concept of resilience across different disciplines and ask what commonalities and differences emerge from these disciplinary perspectives. At the centre of our discussions is the search for points of connection and shared ground that can foster interdisciplinary exchange and a joint engagement with resilience.

The format is open to early-career researchers from all disciplines and institutions who engage with questions of resilience. It provides a space for presenting and discussing ongoing research and qualification projects, theoretical reflections, methodological approaches, and work-in-progress ideas in resilience research.

The meetings take place digitally via Zoom approximately every eight weeks. If you are interested in participating, we would be pleased to hear from you by email at koordination(at)lwc-recoment.de.

Further formats within the Young Academics Network are currently being developed. Information will be added in due course.
