TA 2: Methods – Range and Reflexivity
The second thematic area presents and contrasts the different methods used by the disciplines involved and their implications for resilience research. In view of the diversity of disciplines involved, a particular bandwidth is to be expected here. What methodological self-positioning do these methods reflect in each case? When, where and why are they applied? What are their shortcomings? What are their strengths? What can be seen with them, what cannot be seen? What hurdles arise with them in terms of research pragmatics? What obstacles might exist concerning research ethics?
