WP 3: Mixed Methods for Interdisciplinary Resilience Research

Drawing on the diversity of the different methods used by the disciplines involved, the third work package aims to develop a mixed methods approach for interdisciplinary resilience research. In view of TAs 1 and 2, the first step will be to mutually introduce the different methodological approaches and methodical tools to one other and to elicit which synergy effects can be achieved through combining them. Taking seriously an understanding of resilience as an interpretive phenomenon and thus as a phenomenon of time (a process), one of the main objectives will be to bring quantitative and qualitative methods into exchange and collaboration under the auspices of a reconstructive methodology whose methodical centrepiece consists of a sequential data analysis.
