TA 4: Theories – Architectures and Areas
The fourth thematic area examines the available theoretical approaches, focussing on their fundamental architecture, their conceptual infrastructure as well as their claimed explanatory scope, subject area and blind spots. The focus is therefore on the question of what is or is not considered resilient in the first place (What are the “resilient units”?), then on the nature of the basic theoretical significance of the concept in the context of the respective theories (What is “resilience” an answer to in the first place?), as well as that which distinguishes resilience in each case from related/neighbouring analytical concepts (Why is “resilience” preferred over introduced concepts?)
